I have both the tub and the stool and LOVE it so much! My son who is now almost 9 weeks calms down instantaneously when he's in it (and loves to spash and play). Also, when he has a tummy ache, it's a miracle cure! The stool is great too because it holds all his bath supplies and personally I think it look really cute in our bathroom. I can't wait for him to be able to use the stool for hand washing and teeth brushing later on! By far one of the best baby items I got (clearly I could go on about the Tummy Tub for hours)! Paula N. Our son, Charles, has bathed in the tummy tub exclusively since birth. I love this tub for 3 reasons: 1st, Charles stays nice and warm during bath time because he's immersed in the water right below his shoulders and 2nd, it is sooo “green.” 3rd, its compact so it doesn't take up counter space. The proof is in the tub: video! Jennifer R. We first used the Tummy Tub on New Year's Eve. Our little girl was so over stimulated from being around extended family that she was almost inconsolable. My brother sent over his son's Tummy Tub and we tried it. MAGIC!! She loved it. Elizabeth D. I heard about the Tummy Tub from a friend and decided to get one for our 8 week old daughter. We had been giving sponge baths but this looked much better. The first night we used it, our daughter Sabina loved it. It definitely is not a bucket, it has a unique contour that gives it a strong center of gravity and hugs the baby. It is environmentally friendly since it uses a perfect amount of water each time. Baby is submerged and really likes the sensation of being surrounded by warm water. When our daughter is agitated in the evening and sometimes in the afternoon, we give her a ten minute bath for attitude adjustment and everybody is happy. I would highly recommend Tummy Tub to any parent. Michael M. After struggling with bath time, we were introduced to the TummyTub. What a fantastic blessing for parents and babies! When we used the TummyTub with our newest baby, she was calm and seemed to know she was safe. We've had the same experience every time afterward. Babies are little for such a short time. It makes me happy, as a mother, to discover anything I can to make babyhood gentle, safe and happy for my children. TummyTub is one of those ways. Katharine M. My son LOVES his Tummy Tub. We bought it when he was 9 weeks old and in the throes of a colic nightmare. It soothed him like nothing other, and still relaxes him before bed. Loretta L. I love the TummyTub® for a few reasons. The most important reason I love the TummyTub is that Darragh loves it. The TummyTub uses the smallest amount of water and is so easy to carry around the house after the bath to water the plants or garden. I believe Darragh will learn to swim faster because he likes popping his mouth under and then jumping up on his legs and laughing. I believe this is teaching him how to stay above the water. This is also helping him develop his leg muscles. Did you see the photo of my other son at 2.5 year old in the TummyTub? He still loves it, we always take it from Australia to Europe traveling, in fact two years ago for the tour de France we didn’t bring any baby equipment no pram or cot just the tummy tub!! Tizzie Hall, International Baby Whisperer, Australia I bought a Tummy Tub this week. My 5 week old doesn't like the bath that much, but as soon as I put him in the Tummy Tub he became docile, almost sleeping in it. I love Tummy Tub and it is probably my best buy! Diane L. Jasper loved his daily TummyTub from the time we left the hospital (I’ll be taking it with me to the hospital if there is a next time). The content look that fell over his face once I placed him into the tub was amazing! It settled him so much, it was the integral part of our bedtime routine. I also believe that it aided in getting rid of gas and preventing colic. I must admit at times it could have resembled a bubble bath! There was another massive plus for me in using the TummyTub. Jasper was / is a wriggle worm and feed times often resembled a weird form of baby yoga… but after a bath in his tub he was so relaxed he had the best feed of the day, and I knew at bed time I had one content little man! Cassie mom of 2 The other night Emma was screaming and I'm sure it was due to her reflux but I couldn't get her to stop. She was crying off and on for a good hour or so and I ran out of options to calm her and then I remembered I had the TummyTub so I got my husband to go grab it for me and of course as soon as I stuck Emma in there she stopped crying! I let her play in there for about an hour (crazy long I know!) but she just seemed so peaceful and I got to watch the rest of my show on TV! A win win situation for sure! As soon as I took her out she fell right to sleep! Our TummyTub is a lifesaver! I'm sure it is one of our most valuable possessions in our home to us! I would pay double the amount for it just for the peace it brings us alone! Kim H. from NJ Of all the accessories that we bought with the arrival of a new baby, the Tummy Tub was the best one! My best memories with my newborn daughter occurred during the hour of her bath. I put her in the Tummy Tub and she was so relaxed she would fall asleep. I have been recommending it since then (12 years now) to my friends and everyone is enchanted with it. Thanks Tummy Tub! Maite B. Definitely a Winner The tummy tub is still a huge success! I love that it uses so little water that I can carry it around the house easily, then water the lemon tree afterwards! Mom of 5 Over the years I have had a hard time finding a good bath time solution for my babies. First I have very large babies (my biggest was 11 lbs at birth). The infant tub I have I received when I was having my first child. Its neat in that the top and bottom fold over for storage so its smaller and takes up less space. But in order to accomodate that design, your useable water space is quite small. When I would add one of my mammoth size babies in it inevitably the water would rise enough to leak out those spaces enabling it to fold. Plus it was really hard to use any of the water as the baby filled the tub leaving this small amount of water underneath them...somewhere. Also, most of the baby was hanging out of the water, naked and cold. After trying a couple other bath time solutions I am so thrilled to have found the Tummy Tub now. Miliana LOVES her Tummy Tub. She pulls up her legs and chews her foot, she splashes and kicks her legs up, she pulls up to stand and jumps back down (my other children like to refer to this move as the "tidal wave" as it does create quite the splash!) and occasionally she just sits back and enjoys the water surrounding her. I love that she is covered with water all the way up to her shoulders. She stays warm. She stays happy. I love that it takes barely any water at all to acheive that too. I let the water run into the Tummy Tub for maybe 3 seconds and its filled. Its takes that little. I can carry the filled tub with one hand no straining to put it where ever I choose to bathe Miliana. Its so easy to dump out the water after the bath too since its so light. Clarissa N. We received a Tummy Tub bathtub as a gift with the little stand / step stool that accompanies it. We love the tub. Nico sits in it upright and it’s supposed to mimic the womb, which is supposed to soothe a colicky baby. Since he’s mostly not colicky, we don’t need it for that, but I can see how babies might feel really comforted by the shape and their position in it. What I love about it is that we can bathe him in any room and the stand puts him up higher than the ground (but not as high as a dresser or a counter). So it’s comfortable for me to bathe him. Something else I really like about this is that it’s multi-purpose. When he’s done with it, we can use the “tub” as a regular bucket and the stand becomes a cute step stool for us to keep in the bathroom to help him when he washes his hands and brushes his teeth. This is much better than having a bathtub sit around and take up space in our basement once he’s bathing in the regular tub. And we don’t have to buy a separate step stool. Frank took a great photo of him laughing in the tub, and the next photo after that shows how little room the tub takes up in our tiny bathroom, under the pedestal sink. Kristen S. from MD The Tummy Tub showed up today and I broke it out of the box immediately and used it. I am now a tummy tub believer for sure! That was the first fuss-free bath I have ever given one of my twins. He stayed warm the entire time and instead of fussing was smiling and cooing. Off to bathe twin #2. Jennifer from WA So, glad I bought this!!! Wish I had it when my little one was first born. Just found out about it and will use it from the beginning with the next one. My toddler was 20 months when I introduced this. 1st time use was 30 mins.! Here is some things I noticed. He was born preemie and gets very cold quick even now. He loves the water but can't stay in the bath long before he has to get out. So, that is why the 30 mins was such a surprise. His body was in fetal position so this helps to keep warmth in. He had a perma grin the entire time so I think that there were happy endorphins being released that were also keeping him warm. I would get the stand. I did and I am happy to have saved my back especially sitting there so long for him to be done. I just got a little foot stool and sat there with him. He loves to splash but surprising he didn't do much of that. I had a video playing that he loves and he really enjoyed himself. It takes such little water as well which is great. Not hard to lift it and dump it out. Easy to Clean. It is worth every penny. It would be great for calming, constipation, colic, etc. If you give it as a gift you might have to just go over there and help them use it just to get them started. They just have to use it once to see how great it is. S. Hicks, Portland, OR My sister bought me a tummy tub for a baby shower gift and I was so excited to use it when my daughter was born 12/17/09. They told me to wait for her cord to fall off to give her a tub bath! She was 10 days old when she got her first tummy tub bath. I thought you guys would want to see the pictures! She loved it! She smiled so much and was so attentive. It was precious! Thank you so much for providing this product! I will recommend it over and over! I just ordered a tummy tub & stool set and I am so happy that I was able to find your website!I live in West Virginia (originaly I am from Spain)and 3 years ago, on 2006 when I had my first child, my sister who lives in Switzerland sent me this tummy tub to use and she kept on telling me how amazing it was, everybody uses it overthere and all I can say is that I wished I got it as soon as I had my son and not 4 weeks later hahaha because no bath tub was good enough until I used the tummy tub. Now, a close friend is having a baby in a month and I was worry that my sister wouldn't have enough time to send me one so I decided to google and YEAH! I found your website!!! I am so excited! anyway, all I have to say is good luck on your business and good for you for having the idea to be the one selling this in the US. Thank you. Anna W. That is my little granddaughter, Stella! I was so proud I gave her theTummy Tuband also saw her take a bath when she was 2 months old. I do not live near my granddaughter, so that was the first time I saw theTubin action. My daughter used it when her baby’s navel stub fell off. Our granddaughter just loves the Tub and does NOT want to get out. Her Mommy stands her in theTub and she sits down on her own….it is just so cute to watch. Even my husband, Grampy, was skeptical of the Tub until he saw our little darling take a bath during Thanksgiving weekend….too funny. I think any Mom who does not allow a grandmother to buy them aTummy Tub is missing out of many happy bath times! Grammy Mary The TummyTub is "happiness in a bucket"! Amelia Wyant I love my TummyTub, this is the first time I had a bath without screaming and crying! Baby Emma Thank you so much! We love the tummy tub! My 3 month old, Wil, doesn't cry anymore at bathtime - and that makes my heart very happy! Before, it was so traumatic and I hated giving him baths, but he loves sitting in his tummy tub! K.Shaffer Finally got tub! I was worried @ 13mo. He'd be too big.... He loved it. Thank you for the good communications on order while we waited. Much appreciated. S.Simons Yesterday we used the TummyTub for the first time. My 10 week old was a little fussy before bed so we decided to give it a try. Within seconds of being in it, he began to coo and smile. It was a great way to end the day. Thank you! -Maren Hefler, NYC I received my tummy tub on Monday and I have to tell you that my 11 week old son, Connor, absolutely loves it!!!! He actually cried when I took him out the first time. Anytime he needs to be calmed down I plop him in there and he splashes around for 20 minutes and then he is ready to sleep. It is wonderful. K. Wood, Miami, FL I bought this tub in Germany in 2001 when I was in the Army and pregnant. I used it for both my kids, and now another on the way. I am so happy that you are a U.S. distributor because I love this tub so much. I never understood why I could not find it here in the US. I will refer all my friends we are expecting to you! Nora My newborn son took his first Tummy Tub when he was just a few hours old and loved it! He is now 5 weeks old we give him one every day and he really enjoys it. My husband and I enjoy giving it to him every time. Kathy Parker Burlington, Iowa I got my tummy tub! My 7 week old daughter LOVES it!!! I'm so glad I bought it. My 4 other kids get a kick out of watching the baby in the TT. They also love to use the step stool when it's not being used with the TT. It's a great product, thanks for offering them here in the US,they are not easy to find! I wish I had this with my other 4 kids! Jaime (Fairbanks,Alaska) "My baby boy just loves his TummyTub. He can't get enough of it! " -Tanya R. “I’ve been looking for a tub that keeps babies warm while bathing for quite some time. This is the perfect solution. We both love it!” -Janis M. “We finally have bath time without tears. The only crying occurs after taking her out of the TummyTub!” -Sandra L. “How I wish I would have had one of these with my first two babies! It’s amazing to watch my daughter curl up into fetal position and relax and calm down. She’s quite colicky and once in the TummyTub she immediately quiets down! Wonderful invention!” -Tiffany P. I'm SO happy we have our Tummy Tub. I'm also happy to report, because of the Tummy Tub (I seriously think it's the reason), Ruby just completed her first swim class and was a true fish. She's only 8 months old and was doing so much better than even the older kids who had been in the water before. Thanks so much for bringing the Tummy Tub to the US. I tell everyone I know about it! And with the photos attached, how could anyone deny it's a great bathtub?? - Nicole P. Mother of preemie: “She loves being confined, sitting in the TummyTub, feeling the walls with her feet and hands, making her feel safe. Just like in the womb they are in the water, simply relaxed and happy.”
Traditional bathing procedures can threaten a young infant's security. Then baby screams and the bather becomes tense and uncomfortable, too. The Tummy Tub actually relaxes baby because of the way it supports and contains baby in a flexed position- something familiar from the womb. Baby is calm and so is the bather. Bath time can be a soothing ritual that enhances bonding instead of a battle. As a mother and a certified nurse midwife, I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience with the Tummy Tub. I highly recommend it to my clients, friends, and colleagues. I really hope it sparks a revolution in infant care products. More products should be designed to promote family comfort, peace, and bonding as is the case with the Tummy Tub and 2-Step Stool. Bath time is no longer a stressful, back breaking chore to get through. Instead it is a healthy, warm, loving interaction between parent and child. I am very impressed with the Tummy Tub and 2-Step stool's ease of use, functionality, and design which captures the wisdom of the mother's womb; inspired by divine creation. Read full testimonial here. The TummyTub is a marvelous product. As a doula, childbirth educator, and lactation educator, and midwife's assistant, I have the privilege of working with a lot of new parents. One of the most important things I can teach them is how to calm their baby down. As soon as I got to try out the TummyTub for myself, I knew it was special. Unlike other baby bathtubs, the TummyTub allows the baby to be in an upright, womb-like posture, which combined with the warm water helps to relax a crying baby and alleviate gas and colicky pain. I am excited to share the TummyTub with my clients. I can't think of a better way to welcome a new baby and gently ease her entry into the world. Hello, my name is Brianna Penny. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, lactation and infant massage educator, and a licensed massage therapist. I have tried your product, and as a professional, I wouldloveto be able to provide my clients with literature and samples. As you know, being a new parent and sifting through all the product options can be overwhelming. I find that as a doula, it is my responsibility to assist and guide my birth parents to safe, effective, and quality products. Your products are simply that-safe, effective, and high quality. Thank you once again, and keep up the phenomenal work servicing the community! I am the owner of Bella Amici Posh Boutique in Killen, AL and we proudly sell your Tummy Tub! I am so in love with your product and think it may be the best invention for babies in the past decade. We are a small boutique in a small town, but the customers who buy them swear by them and are 100% satisfied! These are my favorite item we offer in my store and I would like to thank you for allowing us to sell your amazing products to our customers. We have been putting our babies in the tub shortly after birth for the last 11 years (my first tester was my nephew) and then they take the tub home to use up to the first year of life. Even my doctor colleagues have the nurses put the babies in the tub right away. We don't treat the cords with alcohol or blue triple dye and even with getting the cord wet daily and even several times a day we have never had an umbilical cord infection and the cords dry up and fall off earlier than the cords that we're treated. There is known to be a natural anti-infection property in the cord that does not require any treatment. We also put boys in the tub after the circ and have not had any problems. Twice a year we have "Bootie Camp" and have a live demo on how to use the tub and then we encourage the Dad to practice before discharge. Lila, CNM from Ilinois Tummy Tub is a great idea. Most of all I like that baby is upright and I can fill it enough with water to keep baby warm in the bath. The tubs that lie back make me so sad because baby has to be cold during bath time or bath time has to be quicker so to avoid making baby chilly. This is a GREAT solution for keeping baby happy and warm! Thanks again so much for your contribution to my classes and my work. I can safely say that moms are excited to get their hands on the tummy tub as we play bath time in class! I was among the skeptical when the Tummy Tub first came in. As with many of our products, our clients & friends were clamoring for this product, but to me, it looked like a bucket. For a bucket, I must admit, it looked a little pricey! Then I tried it and I can honestly say there is NO comparison, not only with a simple bucket, but with any other bath tub or container I have ever used! With 2 month old baby Ava, it was our first non-screaming bath ever. Bathtime went from a chore and an ordeal to a truly delightful time of exploration, play and bonding, and at 7 months, Ava is now a confirmed water baby. We put her in the tub just to calm her down! Christiane Friedrich BCLC, qualified advisor on breastfeeding and lactation from Hamburg:"Both as a qualified adivsor on lactation and as a nursery nurse, I use the TummyTub® for restless babies in the maternity wards and in the breastfeeding classes of the hospital (1.800 births/year); fantastic!" One of the things that I like to do is the newborn bath. I'm not able to do it often because frequently I have another patient (or two or three), but it's something that I enjoy. I'm not talking about bathing the baby in the warmer with a basin and wash rags while it cries. I like to actually put the baby in a bath, or give a Leboyerbath in the TummyTub. The nursery nurses about have a fit, thinking that it's "gross" to put the infant in a baby bathtub, and they worry about the cord. The kid came out of a fluid environment and it won't hurt the cord one bit by being in the water. After the bath, we apply triple dye to dry it up and keep it clean, so no harm done. And the babies love it. They aren't cold and I like to think that they feel a bit better by being back in water for awhile, kind of a way to ease into the world. I usually get the dads involved. I show them that all they need to do is support their child's head so it's above water and they will just float and kick around. Moms seem to enjoy resting a bit and watching their partner ever so gently give the baby it's first bath |
